10 reasons why stock cooler is bad?
The stock cooler is very small and light, but it have two major drawbacks: it dissipates heat very badly and makes a noise. It is clear that stock coolers do the minimum job they are designed for, but they do not do it as well as they should.
Under load, these temperatures may rise to the point of the processor thermal throttling and lowers the frequency to run at a lower temperature, or in the worst case, the computer shuts down.

3600+ stock cooler OR 3600 xs
It is time to analyze the AMD Ryzen 5 3600, a CPU that is quite similar to the X model, except for having a slightly lower clock, 3.6 / 4.2 GHz, and a 65W TDP than the AMD Ryzen 5 3600X.
This implies that on paper, it will be a CPU that supports less overclocking, and another consequence will be the one that has the stock Wraith Stealth heatsink, the smallest of the three available, something that we will analyze carefully during this analysis.

Does the Ryzen 5 3600 have a good stock cpu cooler?

Especially if we have in mind to overclock our processors. In today’s article, we want to take a look at the best over-the-air coolers we can install on top of our AMD Ryzen processors.
One of the advantages that AMD Ryzen processors have is that they do not get as hot as their Intel counterparts. Especially if we mount their respective OEM stock cpu cooler, with which they are usually sold. Thus, with these stock cpu coolers, in the case of Intel Core processors, are hardly capable of performing their task.
On the other hand, with the arrival of 2nd Generation AMD Ryzen processors, we now have three very different TDPs to deal with.
65 W: Most processors that do not have the ‘X’ at the end of their designation are 65 W models of TDP.
95 W: on the contrary, the models that do have the “X” are almost all 95 W TDP models except for one model.
105 W: Only the AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, of the entire 1st and 2nd Generation Ryzen range, has a TDP of 105 W.

Is the Ryzen 5 2600x stock cooler good enough?
For users who plan to install an after-sales CPU cooler, Ryzen 5 2600X has an unlocked multiplier that can be easily overclocked. Overclockers will also appreciate the fact that the processor’s heat sink is soldered to achieve the best heat transfer between the chip surface and the cooler.
This time some features can make the appearance look completely new. Precision Boost is an algorithm that can weigh the system’s cooling performance based on the current workload to determine how much headroom can be improved. When using 2000 series chips, Precision Boost 2 can now gradually reduce the Boost clock as more cores (up to six cores) are invested. Those running advanced CPU coolers (such as closed-loop liquid coolers or tower air coolers) can use Extended Frequency Range 2 (XFR 2) for higher average clock speeds under load.
With these new processors, AMD has also brought a relaxing sound to the chipset; even though the first or second-generation Ryzen chips are installed on the X370 or X470 motherboards, they can all work normally. Wraith Prism cooler
AMD exclusively includes the Wraith Prism cooler with its Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 9, including the Ryzen 9 3900X, Ryzen 7 3800X, Ryzen 7 3700X, and Ryzen 7 2700X. The cooler has four copper heat pipes that transfer heat away from the processor. However, it can be seen that AMD is now adding a cooler with six heat pipes, which should further improve heat transfer.
AMD does not officially list the TDP (Thermal Design Power) that the Wraith Prism supports. However, the Ryzen 9 3900X is rated with a TDP of 105W, so we can safely assume that the Wraith Prism can handle processors up to 105W. With this update, the cooler could even rival some of the inexpensive third-party market CPU coolers.
The upgraded Wraith Prism looks pretty much like a replica of the original if it weren’t for the additional heat pipes. As noted by XFastest, the cooler apparently retains the same measurements, mounting mechanism, RGB lighting, and socket bracket.
Also, this revision is said to have the same part number (712-000075 Rev: C) as the original, which would make it difficult to distinguish the two refrigerators unless you take it out of its box and look underneath.

This is one of the most popular heatsinks on the market, possibly second only to its predecessor, the now-classic Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO. This fame is due to the fact that it is efficient, silent, and above all, cheap.

This safety mechanism, which is often referred to as dynamic frequency scaling, is useful in that it protects your processor from potential damage. However, this protection results in a performance cost when active. A better option is keeping the CPU cool enough that the mechanism doesn’t trigger in the first place.
