To achieve this goal, a survey was conducted at random with 80 students between 15 and 30 years old in an educational institution in Salvador, Brazil. They answered a questionnaire that contained information about the use of virtual reality technologies. The results showed that just over half of these students reported that they are not motivated by the traditional way of teaching, with the teacher explaining in the classroom and the student listening, and that they would find it interesting to develop a solution that would allow them greater interaction with the contents. Thus, it was concluded that students are starting to get used to the use of Virtual Reality information technologies in classrooms.


In medicine, virtual reality can be used for different purposes, either helping health professionals in learning or for patients in their treatments.

Visualizing immersive virtual environments facilitates learning, as the person is able to interact much more with the environment where they would not normally have access, such as a student who is behind the professor who is inside the surgical field.

For patients, recovery in the treatment of illnesses or the way they behave during treatment is totally influenced by virtual reality.


Nowadays, training aimed at preparing the military in the best possible way requires them to get as close as possible to a real situation, providing a degree of confidence and capacity both for the top echelons and for the military themselves who will be directed to carry out a certain mission. However, logistical issues, and even risk for the military involved, considerably limit the degree of realism of the various exercises. A solution to the aforementioned problems, then, would be the use of Virtual Reality.

Therefore, Virtual Reality would be used through simulators to explore a wide range of possibilities of scenarios and situations and, at the same time, avoid risks, logistical issues (enabling cost reduction) and other barriers of the physical (real) environment.

The great advantage of Virtual Reality is that, in addition to transmitting information, it makes the user “experience” certain situations and better absorb their training. The greater the realism present in this type of technology, the better the military will be prepared to undertake the knowledge obtained in a given situation in the real world.
